Granger School District went into a secure and teach lockdown this morning after a staff member at Granger High School discovered a handgun in a student locker. School officials safely handled the situation and confiscated the weapon. We do not believe this incident was intended as a threat against the school but was in response to outside circumstances. Police are involved in the incident and taking appropriate measures. The student involved also faces school disciplinary actions.
The district commends staff for their quick response. At all times, the safety and security of our students and staff are our highest priorities.

El Distrito Escolar de Granger entró en un encierro de seguridad y enseñanza esta mañana después de que un miembro del personal de la Escuela Secundaria descubrió una pistola en el casillero (locker) de un estudiante. Los funcionarios escolares manejaron la situación de manera segura y confiscaron el arma. No creemos que este incidente fuera una amenaza contra la escuela, sino que fue en respuesta a circunstancias externas. La policía está involucrada en el incidente y está tomando las medidas apropiadas. El estudiante involucrado también enfrenta acciones disciplinarias escolares.
